Sending care packages can be a daunting task. From which box to use to filling out the custom forms, there is a lot to do!
If you are anything like me, then having a checklist really helps make sure a task not seem so overwhelming.
I've complied a checklist of the step-by-step process of putting together a care package.
Step 1: Grab your box. Any box will work but often your best bet for cheapest shipping is using the USPS Flat Rate boxes.
Step 2: Decide on the theme. Will this be for a holiday? Just because? Plan out how you will decorate your box.
Step 3: Decorate your box. Time for the fun part! Decorate your box however you want. Be sure to only decorate the inside box flaps.
Step 4: Time to go shopping. Make a list of the items you want to include in your care package and then head to the store! Be sure to avoid banned items when making your list.
Step 5: Pack your box. If needed, protect your items using bubble wrap or Ziploc bags. Place heavy items on bottom and lighter items on top. Don't forget a love note!
Step 6: Tape your box. Tape your box....and tape it some more! You can never have too much tape.
